International Union of Immunological Societies

The International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) is an umbrella organisation of 83 national societies of immunology throughout the world. Each one belongs to one of four Regional Federations encompassing Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia-Oceania or one of the North American societies. IUIS is the voice of more than 60,000 immunologists all over the world. We truly represent the field of Immunology without borders!

Our objectives are to:
• ENCOURAGE co-operation in the field of immunology – through our website, membership services, communication network, grants & awards
• ORGANISE international cooperation in immunology through congresses, regional conferences and topical workshops

The Federation of African Immunological Societies (FAIS) bridges immunology societies from African countries. The mission of FAIS is to promote research, clinical and animal care, and advocacy efforts that impact immune system-related morbidity and mortality.
The activities of FAIS are intended to complement those of other similar organisations. Currently, Cameroon, Congo, Egypt, The Gambia, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zimbabwe are represented in FAIS.
